Today was GREAT! I decided to break out my Yukon Charlies and go for a little walk around a nearby lake. It was AWESOME! The scenery was great. I could have gone for an even more secluded place but this was the best I could do.

When I started looking to see how many calories are burned when snowshoeing I found that it depends on a few different things: terrain, snow conditions {packed or powder}, pace {& whether or not you use poles... I did}, and your body size. So according to MY calculations I burned somewhere between 350-450 calories in about 45 minutes. SA-WEET!
A couple things that I LOVE about snowshoeing. It doesn't cost much; buy or rent your shoes and then you're good to go! I get to be OUTSIDE & in the SNOW {one of my first loves}. It's a GREAT workout that's FUN! Definitely something you should try... given you are lucky enough to live where there's snow!

That looks like so much fun! I don't live in the snow, but if I did, I'd be excited to try out the snow shoeing :)
